1996-1998 Tampa Bay Mutiny Home Jersey from the inaugural Major League Soccer (MLS) season. The Florida team's jersey was manufactured by Nike and during this early era of MLS and US Soccer, it was not common to have sponsors on jerseys and more common to have a teams name instead. Keeping the tradition of swashbuckling and piracy of Tampa Bay, the name refers to an uprising which occurred on a ship in the middle of the ocean known as "Mutiny on the Bounty". The team managed strong signings in 1995, including Carlos Valderrama (El Pibe), Roy Lassiter, and Martín Vásquez.
