2020 Inter Miami away jersey by Adidas. This is the away shirt as worn during the inaugural season for the South Florida-based franchise led by the England legend David Beckham. Beckham received an option to purchase an expansion team in 2007 when he joined LA Galaxy and in 2018 the green light was given by the league to bring a team to South Florida for the 2020 MLS campaign. The inaugural season turned out to be more difficult to complete than expected as the COVID-19 pandemic caused a lengthy suspension and the league decided to change the format, dubbed as "MLS is Back Tournament". Inter struggled in their group as they finished last and did not make the play-offs stage. Inter finished 19th overall out of 26 teams in 2020. Rodolfo Pizzaro scored the teams first ever goal on an away match whereas Julian Carranza scored the first 2 home goals ever for Inter Miami.
